Oak aged Double Bock 2003
*** Vintage 2000 ***
Whole fresh raspberries are fermented in oak casks of Belgium’s classic beer - beer fermented by wild yeasts borne on the open air. Very dry, tart, and fruity, but also funky and complex, as a natural lambic should be. This is the real thing - definitely not one of those artificially sweetened soda-pop beers.

One of the best harvest ales around. Made with plenty of fresh Willamette valley hop, this Pale ale pours a golden amber color and has the aroma and flavor of lemon, flowers, and just a touch of grass. Not too bitter but with tons of hop flavor and aroma and by that I mean the aromas come pouring out the bottle when opened and the flavors are forceful and aggressive without being harsh. A+
This hop rage of a beer is fueled by Warrior and Nugget goes up to 95 IBU and 8.2%. It pours a dark copper and has a huge piney, citrus hop aroma. The flavor is tongue numbingly bitter and everything else you expect out of a great double IPA.
This Black IPA / American Strong Ale is yet another fine brew from Stone. It pours black (really a very dark brown) with a medium head. The aroma is very hoppy with pine, and citrus rind, other scents include a light fruitiness and coffee from the dark malts. The flavor up front is of resinious hops then moves into the dark roasty malt. There is a bit of sweetness but the finish is of that Stone style bitterness.
This is an ultra red ale. It comes in at 9.5%, is a beep red color and the head is thin and tan. The aroma is almost completely of lime and pine hops from the double dry hopping. The flavor bitter up front with pine hop and toffee / cake malt. The finish is bitter and hoppy with long staying power. This is the kind of thing Stone is known for and it does not disappoint.

From Mitch Steele (Head Brewer): During the brewing process we added dark candi sugar, vanilla bean, and tangerine peel to complement the flavors of the porter. The vanilla bean addition is fascinating, as it actually enhances the chocolate character from the roasted malts, and the candi sugar adds a nice hint of molasses flavor to the finish. The tangerine actually turned out to be quite subtle on the finish, and combines nicely with the chocolate malt character. We aged this beer on French oak chips, which contributes a smooth and subtle woody undertone and even more vanilla flavors.
Now this is what I call a pumpkin ale. Why, you may ask??? Because it tastes like pumpkin, that’s why. Many pumpkin ales that are out taste of nothing but cinnamon and clove. Brewed with both the pumpkin flesh and the seeds it is easily THE best pumpkin ales I have tried.
This, the best pumpkin ale in existence, pours a rich copper with a tint of brown. It has an easy spice aroma of cinnamon and allspice. The flavor is wonderfully rich and smooth. Pale, and caramel malt flavors with a deep pumpkin fruit. The spices of ginger and nutmeg comes through and a clove that is small and very well placed. A+
This years Jubel Ale is a brown color with amber tints. The head pours at about two fingers and settles to a thin layer. The aroma is wonderfully floral in hops. The flavor has a toasty caramel taste from the dark roasted crystal malts. The hop flavor has the aforementioned floral notes and a medium bitterness in the finish.

I just had to crack one open once it hit the floor. It is even better than I had hoped. Smooth fruity, roasty, complex and strong. All of it and more. Another A++
"This beer is all about the ingredients,” says Alaskan brewer Michael King. “A ridiculous amount of hand-peeled and seeded whole gourmet Madagascar vanilla beans were used along with nearly 500 pounds of dark black cherries and a variety of specialty malts to create a dynamic and smooth experience. Aging on toasted French oak and the addition of vanilla beans during fermentation really round out the flavor.”
Alaskan’s Baltic Porter is full bodied and jet-black in color with garnet highlights and a dense tan head, characteristics similar to a Russian Imperial Stout. The smooth, deep maltiness is accentuated by raisin and licorice notes as well as chocolate and mild coffee characters. The oak brings hints of bourbon and hot toffee. The higher alcohol content contributes to the warmth of this richly flavorful beer.
This barleywine is with six different malts and balanced with Summit, Challenger and Fuggle hops. Deep brown in color has a fruity aroma and rich yet dry malting and a bitter finish.
This roasty black has plenty of black patent and chocolate malt. The hops are Warrior, Fuggels and East Kent Goldings. With a touch of sweetness late in the pallet it finishes up hop dry.
From the bewery: Black Diamond Amber Ale is deep amber colored ale with a rich full malt character. We use the finest English Pale and Crystal malts which produce a delicious creamy brew with flavors of caramel, nuts and toffee.
We combine this with several varieties of British Noble hops added at various stages of the brew to compliment the natural sweetness of the malts.
From the brewery: While many West Coast IPA recipes are all about taking the hop factor to a shock level, our zesty, straw pale IPA aims for much smoother, well balanced flavors. While still a hoppy beer, the English malts in our IPA are not denied their role as part of the flavor profile.

Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the world’s finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cultivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.
12.0% abv • 247ºL • Imperial Coffee Stout • 22 oz / 1/6 keg
2-row pale malt / caramel malt / chocolate malt / black malt / roasted barley / cascade & columbus hops / jamaican blue mountain coffee
Four is a light yet flavorful wheat beer with a slight tartness and acidic complexity coming from a traditional sour mash. The aroma and flavors remain gentle throughout with chamomile, lemon and grassy notes.
*** New Mead ***
This magical honey wine is a wonder full cross between their Honeymoon Nectar and their Sierra Nectar. It has some of the sumptuous sweetness of the Honeymoon Nectar and more of the lighter body and the crisper acidity of the Sierra nectar. This mead is an excellent drink for those who like smooth but not too sweet in their meads.

Porter made with 100% Kona coffee.
Alaskan Winter Ale is an English Olde Ale, a style that is brewed in the fall and winter as a winter warmer. This copper-colored ale balances the sweet floral aroma and taste of Sitka spruce tips with the clean crisp finish of noble hops. Spruce tips have a long tradition in Southeast Alaska, being used in beer by explorer Captain James Cook to prevent vitamin C deficiency among his crew during his explorations in the 1700s and being used today to flavor teas, syrups, jellies and Alaskan Winter Ale.

Russian River Temptation
Aged in French oak Chardonnay barrels, this wild ale pours a copper orange color with some haze. The head is bright white, creamy and large. The aroma is sour and tart with leather, earth and lemon. The mouth feel is spritzy and prickly with plenty of carbonation. The flavor is tart and fruity with apricot, tangerine, citrus rind, spice, oak, mineral and horse blanket. Man oh man this is awesomely aggressive and bracing.
Batch 004x1
Opaque black, this beer forms a good two and a half fingers worth of head. The aroma is big even right out of the fridge. It is of rich smooth coffee and deeply roasted barley. The taste comes across as espresso, lightly sweet chocolate, grainy oats, and a gassy hop finish.
This IPA from Eugene Oregon comes out orange with a fingers and a half worth of head that settles down into a nice lace. The smell is of juicy citrus hops with a pine note thrown in. The flavor runs fruity hops up front with grapefruit and tangerine, bitter mid pallet and a light pale malt / dash of light crystal in the finish. It rolls on the more bitter side of balanced but not so much it is harsh or distracting.
*** New Meads ***
If you have never tried mead (fermented honey) before this is a great time to jump in. The two new meads are a bit of a crossover product as one is made with beer hops and the other is made with wine grapes. Although both are totally unique they do have some characteristics from beer and wine respectively.
Fruity grape with just a touch of smokiness and tannin. Light oak notes with wood vanilla.. This 12% beauty is a great mix of wine and mead.
This light gold / yellow mead has a wonderfully sweet combination fruity flavors and aroma with a light hop bitterness. The whole package has a light pear character and the mouthfeel is smooth with a slight bitter / floral hop. Now I have made a few hop meads in my day but maybe only one of them ever reached this level of delicate balance
