Still too cold to ship!!!

*** 12/23 and we still have not gotten above freezing. Not only that but now we are under a layer of snow and coated in an inch of ice. I know this is delaying people Christmas gifts but shipping now would only freeze the beer and destroy the bottles. This is the worst winter storm in Oregon in 28 years. I promise we will ship the order out as soon as it is safe. ****

*** Freezing Temps ***

Sorry folks but as of right now (12/19) it too cold to ship. In fact we have been on hold for several days already and this cold snap is going to continue for a few more day at least. I know this is not what you want to hear this time of year but if I sent beers out now they would only freeze solid and no one wants that. Sorry for the delay

We will ship as soon as it is safe.

Matt

Lompoc C-Note 22oz:

C-Note Imperial Pale - This HUGE Imperial Pale Ale (100 IBU!) is a hop head’s dream. Using Crystal, Cluster, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial,
Columbus and Challenger hops. (6.9% a/v)

Lompoc is a Portland institution and has been providing Portlanders with craft ales since 1996.

Lompoc L.S.D. 22oz:

Lompoc Strong Draft - Portland’s new cult beer. LSD is an American strong ale with big body, a touch of smoked malt and a generous hop profile. With its big earthy, piney flavors it is a tasty brew most Portlanders know and love.(6.9% a/v)

The Bruery Partridge In A Pear Tree 750ml:

Our holiday beer is a Belgian-style Dark Strong Ale, brewed with our brewery-made dark candi sugar, Munich and Vienna malts. Dark brown in color, the aroma is big and fruity with plum, raisin and dark cherry. The flavor is on the sweet side with the aforementioned fruits along with some sugary caramel tomes and a hint of bandy
ABV: 11%, IBU: 20, SRM: 20,

The Bruery Autumn Maples 750ml:

Brewed with 17 lbs. of yams per barrel (in other words, a lot of yams!), this autumn seasonal is a different take on the “pumpkin” beer style. Brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, molasses, and maple syrup, and fermented with our traditional Belgian yeast strain, this bold and spicy beer is perfect on a cold autumn evening.

ABV: 10%, IBU: 25, SRM: 15

The Bruery Trade Winds Triple 750ml:

Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer.

ABV: 8%, IBU: 25, SRM: 5

The Bruery Orchard White 750ml:

Orchard White is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned Belgian-style witbier. This hazy, straw yellow beer is spiced with coriander, citrus peel and lavender added to the boil and whirlpool. A spicy, fruity yeast strain is used to add complexity, and rolled oats are added for a silky texture.

ABV: 5.7%, IBU: 15, SRM: 3

The Bruery Black Orchard 750ml:

Black Orchard is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned Belgian-style black wheat beer, or “black wit”, if you will. This dark but surprisingly light bodied beer is very drinkable while still having character and complexity. Chamomile is added for its floral aroma, while the coriander and citrus peel give the characteristics of a traditional witbier.

ABV: 5.7%, IBU: 15, SRM: 26

*** New Beers ***

Sorry about the short descriptions but we are totally swamped getting the Christmas orders out the door. We are still getting a ton of new beers in, which is a bit surprising this late in the holiday season. I figured it would be best to get them up on the site and available for people to buy and worry about the description detail when I get the chance to go on a drinking........ I mean reviewing binge.

Cheers!
Matt

De Struise Tsjeeses 330ml:

Blond with a fruity spicy flavor and a dry herbal finish.

Norrebro Julebryg 600ml:

Norrebros Julebryg is a unique Danish style Christmas ale. Dark, spicy, complex and with a sweet finish, it is perfect for the season.

Dieu Du Ciel Solstice d hiver 330ml:

Dark and strong, this hoppy winter beer is a touch sweet from a long boil which is gives it a burnt toffee and light coffee flavor. 9.8%

""T Smisje Kerst 330ml:

Sweet and candied fruit character, a very classic Belgium Christmas brew.

De Proef Kerstmutske 750ml:

De Proef Christmas brew.

Rogue Sants Private Reserve 12oz:

Yes, it’s true, if Santa was going to knock back a pint it would be one of these. Deep garnet in color it pours with a rather thin head. The aroma is mainly of piney resinous hop with a little crystal malt. The flavor is lightly bready, caramel malt with plenty of piney hop bitterness (44 IBU). Every year I try and convince my kids that Santa is lactose intolerant and would much rather have a beer like this with his cookies than a pint of 2%.

Hebrew Jewbelation 12 22oz:

The JEWbelation is one powerful malty brew. Brown with a big head is has a massive caramel and plum flavor and aroma. The finish has a substantial bitterness due to the 12 varieties of hops; this beer takes you on a smooth velvety ride with a drying bitter finish. Kind of a cross between English Old Ale and a Barley Wine; it will age superbly for years to come. 12%, 12 hops, and 12 malts, awesome!!!

Baladin Super Sour 2005 750ml:

Vintage 2005 sour tiple.

JW Lees Harvest Ale 2006 275ml:

Massive 11.5% caramely goodness.

De Dolle Dulle Teve 330ml:

Spicy, dry and tasty 10% Belgian triple.

Picobrouwerij Podge 330ml:

Creamy with coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts, dark candi sugar and dry finish.

Hitachino Real Ginger 330ml:

Powerfully spicy ginger with a malty solid pale ale.

*** Now in Stock ***

Hair of the Dog Doggie Claws 2008 12 oz:

As usual, another fine vintage of Doggie Claws. The hop character is very big. With Simcoe hops the flavor is very herbal with citrus notes. Caramel in the malt with a big showing from the wildflower honey he added. It tastes great now and has BIG cellaring potential

Golden Valley Tannen Bomb 12oz:

Now to me, this is what winter beers are all about. Out of all the winter beers I look forward to this one the most. It has a big malty fruity flavor that just does it for me. Not too hoppy, a light bitterness to finish well but nothing overpowering. The 8% alcohol is smooth but will warm the cockles of your heart. Best served only slightly chilled so as to bring out the smooth malt and play that against the fruity character. I have to give props to Golden Valley for producing a winter beer like no other.

Ale Smith Yulesmith Winter 22oz:

This wonderful and highly anticipated winter brew is a deep garnet color and pours with a medium size head. The malt is caramel and slightly nutty but the big pine hop flavor and aroma is the appeal of this hoppy seasonal holiday ale.

Rogue Yellow Snow 22 oz 22oz:

It is the return of the “Yellow Snow”!! This time it is an Amarillo hop driven IPA with a 70 IBU bitterness and fruity, piney hop flavor.

Ale Smith X Extra Pale Ale 22oz:

This pale ale pours a fine golden color with a fluffy head with a high level of carbonation for the style. With the predominate hop aroma I expected this to be more of a golden ale in flavor but Ale Smith does not disappoint. The malt flavors come though as expected and this pale ale sings with herbal/earthy hop and a grainy, malty character ones expects out of a pale.
