This 11% imperial stout pour inky black with a red/brown tint at the edges. The head is thin and brown. The aroma is coffee, anise, and grassy hops. The flavor is coffee, sweet licorice and grassy/floral hops. A roasty bite hits you up front then the hop bitterness gets you in the finish.
