It is mahogany brown with gold around the edges and pours with little head. The aroma is of cake, raisin and a touch of spice. The flavor starts off with the aforementioned raisins then moves on to a light chocolate and brown malt with a leafy hop and anise finish. The body is medium to light and the carbonation is rather low for a Belgian but with the lighter body that keeps the texture from getting too prickly.
